Merry Christmas from Titletown, USA

Was shocked to wake up to snow, since they were not predicting a big snowstorm for today. It has continued all day, making the roads a mess and travel slow. Ventured out for some last minute shopping and decided to stop at Titletown Brewery, one of Green Bay's landmarks, to take a photo or two. This used to be the old Green Bay C&NW Train Depot, which opened in 1899. Passenger service via C&NW ended in 1971. In 1996, Titletown Brewing bought it and made it into a brewery and restaurant. The track is still used for rail transport, hence, the train car on the side of the building that is obviously headed somewhere as it is smoking. In 1999, the depot was put on the National Register of Historical Places. It is also home to one of Green Bay's most notable statues, a large Packer player atop a football. The statue was in front of the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame for many years until the Hall of Fame moved to the Lambeau Field Atrium. At that time, the statute was put up for sale and the owners of Titletown bought it, which is quite fitting, since the Green Bay Packers earned Green Bay the name of Titletown, USA. Merry Christmas to you and yours from here in snowy Titletown, USA!
