It isn't easy being green

the constant fruit sitting, here try this eggplant, try this mango? It's all sit here, smile there, don't eat the fruit, just sit on it. Stay awake! Look into the lens, don't jump on the camera, and leave the photographer alone, he's got to decide between aperture mode or full manual, he don't need a frog on his face. But maybe he does? Always asking me to sit on a fruit, how about a froggin' chair is that too much to ask? Oh my Buddha, I don't believe it, here it is! A chair! No froggin' fruit today. Hey this chair ain't that comfy, what the frog is going on! I demand more, where's my froggin' Agent?? For frog's sake! Oh frog! Guess I'll just sit here and let me take another froggin' photo...

it ain't easy being green.
Thank you everyone for making yesterday's cute little frog so POPular!!! I found a bigger grumpier frog today...
November 26th, 2011
I love your description! *LOL* Thank you, thank you for the big grin I have on my face right now. He's so adorable. I think, he's still wondering if you're going to pay him. And if so, will it be in cash... or flies.
November 26th, 2011
Poor froggy - he does look a little over it! Congrats on popular yesterday, definitely well deserved :)
November 26th, 2011
@myautofocuslife - froggin' flies again... could think I'm not choosey. Could I ask for at least a cricket from time to time, or a grasshopper? Saw him feeding those to the chicken earlier... Ah frog it!
November 26th, 2011
@alia_801 - yeah always the cute frogs that get the POPular stuff, but Mr ol' big fat frog has to just sit here and wait for the next gig. Can't wait for the watermelon to show up!
November 26th, 2011
dang! fav 2 days in a row - lucky mister!
November 26th, 2011
Spectacular!
November 26th, 2011
This looks like Gramps!
November 26th, 2011
This is the best yet...and personally I'm offering myself as agent to the frog...totally exploited...underpaid...overworked...I see a big career for us.
November 26th, 2011
@houdiniem - dang straight Miss Tull and I thank you for the faves. See, even a grumpy ol' green tree frog like me can impress the girlies. Don't need to be sitting on a froggin' tomato or a froggin' mango, although don't mind a bit of mango when I'm not eating flies....

@uller - Frogtacular!

@cocorose - I've been called other things.
November 26th, 2011
@swilde - let me take a moment Ms Wilde, I've got some ideas meself... I see myself in Hollyfrog, you know acting and singing and froggin' dancin'. Just need to ditch this "frogtographer" and I can hit the frog and toad!
November 26th, 2011
@bobfoto I can see he has you worn down to the knub of a bone...the contract is in the mail...
November 26th, 2011
@swilde - action is what I like... I'm diggin' this Ms Wilde and her belief all the more! No more froggin' Townsville for me baby! I'm going to Mexico!!! Whoooo froggin' ooooh!!!
November 26th, 2011
Such a cool frog! He looks like he has lived life to the full and would have many a tale to tell! I love his toes and that expression. I think he could be on his way to the Frogular Page......Fav
November 26th, 2011
Strawberries???? A chair is NOT a fruit. Pineapple???
November 26th, 2011
Hahah...your commentary and everyone's comments have given me a wide smile this morning.....he reminds me of the Cheshire cat in Alice....maybe they could revise the role just for him?
November 26th, 2011
@moirab - Strawberry is far too small for my froggin' fat arse to sit on, that's why I'm looking forward to watermelon season! And a pineapple is far too spiky!
November 26th, 2011
@Cherrill - I like the idea Ms Cherrill, you need to get in touch with Ms Wilde and let her know my plans of acting as some froggin' cat on broadway I hope!!!
November 26th, 2011
what a grumpy frog! he has a lot to say. Great shot of him, fabulous detail
November 26th, 2011
@lbmcshutter - I'll keep on croakin' until I get me froggin' recordin' deal! That's the plan.... ribbit ribbit!
November 26th, 2011
He doesn't look real great capture
November 26th, 2011
@steeler - dem's froggin' fighting words Mr Steele! I'll have you know I can sing and dance and act with the best of the frogs! Just ask my froggin' agent Ms Wilde! I'm even thinkin' of doin' a duet with her, maybe "Kids of America" to start???
November 26th, 2011
I always hear this when i look at your froggy shots"We All Stand Together" (sometimes referred to as the Frog Song or the Frog Chorus) by Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus
November 26th, 2011
@swilde As Mr Frog's agent I wonder if you are interested in my suggestion above.....Of course there will be a considerable percentage coming your way if you could see your way to contacting your Broadway friends....................lol
November 26th, 2011
@swilde Maybe the role of Gollom would be more suited to your client...........
November 26th, 2011
I hope your recent frog photos come with the following disclaimer - "No frogs were harmed in the making of these shots. We use strictly only free range frogs". Well done! Congrats on PP.
November 26th, 2011
Fantastic shot, Jason. You have really befriended this frog to make him do and stay as you tell him to.
November 26th, 2011
all those frogging demands........poor frog looks exhausted! you're good........
November 26th, 2011
This is a stunning shot, you've captured this little guy so well :)
November 26th, 2011
Your gonna have to stop with the cute frog shot!! i'll have a fave album full of them! This guy looks like a little old man:)
November 26th, 2011
he looks a bit grumpy compared to yesterday's smiling face. wonderful shot! aww, another fav of a frog!
November 26th, 2011
Froggin' hilarious! Shame, the poor ole boy's looking a tad fed up. Either that or he's plotting big-time against you. :)
November 26th, 2011
He will be on a Froggin strike if he does not get a lilly pad soon. I bet he also wants a dragon fly for a snack occassionally.
November 26th, 2011
I love your frog sitting series.
November 26th, 2011
froggin' awesome! I'd love to see frog-on-face, or frog-lost-in-crazy-mass-of-hair OR froggy seven dwarves!!
Now I wish I had masses of frogs to play with :(
November 26th, 2011
Came back to fav....I love his toes and the disgruntled look on his face!
November 26th, 2011
This little guy is too cute! Did you edit him?
November 26th, 2011
Beautiful little froggie
November 26th, 2011
The textures are incredible!
November 26th, 2011
So funny, Jason. I can just see you with those frogs posing them all on fruits and vegetables. I am really enjoying your frog theme!
November 26th, 2011
It's a frog's life! It's a tough job but someone has to do it!
November 26th, 2011
Poor Kermit, cute dude. He does look a bit worn out hunched over like that.
November 26th, 2011
Awesome!
November 26th, 2011
@steeler - I do remember that song Howard, might have to go and you tube it for old times sake!

@Cherrill - sure he likes hanging out in dank dark holes but Gollum? Mr Frog was looking forwards to a leading role...

@jobo - Thanks Joe, all frogs get returned back to the spot where I found them, except for those found inside - they get returned outside normally into the shade house where it is cool and damp.

@sangwann - Thanks Dione, this guy did give me a few looks of wanting to stay close to me... some of the other frogs look for an escape, this guy just enjoyed sitting on my hand.

@tooki @sharingmylife - Thank you Tooki and thank you Savanna :)

@trude - Oh thank you Trude and thank you for faving the froggys!

@catsmeowb - Oh thank you for the fave Camille, he was okay in the end.... just a little sleepy.

@thebluegnu - most likely plotting.

@brumbe - don't they love Dragonflies!

@maggie2 - Thank you Margaret!

@shutterbugger - I'm thinking about how to do the Frog on Face. I have an idea, but I need a really peaceful happy frog for that one...

@kimmistephens - quite a bit of editing for me. This shot was cropped, then I messed around with the highlights, some contrast and saturation, and added sharpness. The colour is genuine although I took some saturation out to make him look less bright green. I've dulled him a little to make him a bit surly looking. But that is that really. I just use iPhoto that comes with the macbook.

@kerristephens - Thank you Kerri :)

@samalleene87 - Thanks Samantha, like I just mentioned to Kimmi, I reduced the Saturation level to give him more of an edge, and this brought out some of those textures!

@buttercup - Thanks Mary, it was fun carrying this guy around, he was a lot larger then the cute tomato frog. My ducks were interested in what I had....

@judithdeacon - Indeed!

@robv - he'll survive!

@orangecrush - Thanks Jerry!
November 26th, 2011
I love your frogs and your caption made me laugh.
Fav
November 26th, 2011
@emmar84 - thank you Emma, and thank you for taking the time to read the words... I love the creativity that comes hand in hand with this project. It will be sad to finish it next month.
November 26th, 2011
@bobfoto Are you not planning on continuing for a second year?
I originally planned to stop but the thought of not pushing myself each day feels odd. I think I will have to continue but I may allow myself the luxury of using a filler if I'm busy one day rather than the strict rule I imposed on myself this year of a photo taken every day.
November 26th, 2011
oh! awesome!
November 26th, 2011
@emmar84 - I have always taken photographs Emma... I was cataloguing my photo album yesterday, just updating stuff, and there is 56,000 images on my harddrive. I take photos everyday. So there isn't that as a challenge for me. I guess the challenge with the 365 is the actual "doing" something with the image. Instead of downloading the memory card, and filing the shots away, maybe putting a few up on flickr or sharing with friends, the idea of presenting a shot to a global audience day in day out was the challenge. And the tough bit is the amount of time spent saying thank you. I read everyone's comments and I have made some sweet friends, and have even met 365ers in the flesh, so it has been a fantastic journey. Still a month to go.
November 26th, 2011
@elmatia223 - Why thank you Miss Matia! :D
November 26th, 2011
@bobfoto I really like your choice of editing
November 26th, 2011
@kimmistephens - it was a tricky shot and I almost didn't use it. There was quite a lot of reflection on his back which while still there, has been softened... thanks!
November 26th, 2011
@Cherrill While my client and I are open to all suggestions, I should warn you that we are aiming for the reprise of the Depp role in the forthcoming all singing, all dancing 21 Jump Street.
November 26th, 2011
@swilde @Cherrill - Booohyeah!!! As long as I get that froggin' Depp role and not his offsider, what happened to that guy!
November 26th, 2011
November 26th, 2011

November 27th, 2011
@murnane - Thank you Marg, maybe a cucumber could make this shot better?
November 27th, 2011
He does look a little grumpy doesn't he! It's a tough life ut someone has to be the subject! I also love everything he has to say. It gave me a giggle. Just like this -----> hehehehe
November 27th, 2011
@amz87 - Grrrr -----> no way!
November 27th, 2011
