Wanpis man i stap antap lo hul wara bilong Bisanumu
photo 485
Ok, so in the past few months in my PNG retrospective I have borrowed the odd photograph from my girlfriend's collection mainly because I was often too busy myself to capture the moment.
Well in today's shot, I was too sick to move. I was off dying somewhere and well, my GF was up in the mountains behind Port Moresby with athletic young PNGean men climbing waterfalls and stuff.
Good thing I wasn't well.
I have always liked this shot, chances are I would fave it if GF had her own account.
Ok the truth is, no I wasn't sick and dying and I wasn't too lazy to go bushwalking. I am pretty sure, I was travelling on this Sunday and was unable to get to the bushwalking meeting place. Oh well oh well.
ps: Did someone say Volcano?
Photo taken 29 April 2007 at Bisianumu Falls, CP. Title reads: One man stands on top of a waterhole called Bisianumu.
@scottkaway@jolefont@allisonrap@zuzana@pwallis@trude - I have tried to convince her to start up her own 365 project, but she says she doesn't have the time to give it her full attention. I'll just sneak one or two pics in from time to time ;)
@filsie65 - I wouldn't know where to start, and I reckon this guy makes for a better photo subject!
@catsmeowb - Not at this pool. I have swum at other waterholes where jumping was going on, but not here. It was really rocky and sharp, and was old volcanic rock... not that forgiving on the feet!
@onie - I have another King of the Waterfall shot, and this chap started singing. I think I may have video'd it. It was a cracker, but that's for a later shot.
Stunning - good on GF for taking this, fav for me.
We head to Hughendon bright and early chasing dinosaurs, tho love this part of the world so will be back for longer next time. 6 months just not longer enough to travel, it'll be 12 months next time......
@tooki - Nah, he was just one of her guides for the walk that day. We both had walked there on many occasions and knew the way quite comfortably, but it always paid to have a local in case someone untoward was lurking in the undergrowth...
@emjay8 - It was an impressive waterfall. This small section you can see was where we would all swim, it fell into a large water hole that emptied onto a shorter wide waterfall, which fell into a large crack in a rock, the water would then turn to the left and follow the crack. It would then fall from this crack into the abyss below, perhaps 200metres down. My profile pic is taken looking the other way. There is nothing below me in this shot, if I stepped backwards... aggghhhhhhhhh!
@robv - Oh I spent a few Sundays at this waterhole. My profile picture is from there.
This man looks like an invicible warrior !

@carolmw - Thanks Carol :)
@kloud - I no longer live there Bonnie, I left 3 years ago, all of this year's project is a retrospective look. But thank you!
@cocobella - Thank you Corinne, the average PNGean male is lean, athletic and very fit. Certainly very Warrior like in appearance.
@swilde - Thank you Sue.
@swguevin - It was a very cool place... bit of a hike to get there though.

@sangwann - Thanks Dione :)
@alia_801 @cmuir1963 - Thank you ladies :)
@nikond40x - A shared love of Olympus too... might be my influence there a bit...
@hobgoblinwychwo - Thanks John.
