Eutychus

This was at the end. When I assembled a team of good men to help me out and carry some stores and cargo up into the mountains, this man came along as part of the team. I had no qualms paying this guy some cash to get some gear into the jungle. Strong, Brooding and Focused, Eutychus was a nice guy, and fun to be in the team. He was quiet and didn't say much, perhaps a little bit shy... a few days up in the mountains changed that!

Here we see Eutychus relaxing at the end of the walk from Isurava village down to Kokoda. Much like the rest of us.

I thank you all for the kind words and am so sorry for the lack of responses. My internet time is brief.

In Modern News, I had a successful day in Lae today, and man the potholes in this town will seriously swallow up the ToJo Hilux I am driving. The sun does not reach the bottom of some of these potholes!

oh and don't let those powerlines fool you. There's no electricity in Kokoda!

Powerful image. BTW, your Lae potholes sound like the ones I encountered in Rabaul.

Fantastic portrait! A little PS healing tool use could get rid of those lines. The exposure is so dramatic, it looks like HDR. I've driven some hellhole highways in Mexico and Costa Rica, it certainly keeps you focused on the road but leaves you exhausted by the end of your trip. Have fun!

I like the comment "powerful image" and completely agree!
