frangipani by bobfoto

frangipani

Always like the pink plumeria against a dark green background.

Very common tree in Papua New Guinea and the local girls love putting the flowers in their hair. They will also use the leaves as a remedy against wounds. By packing the leaves against a wound and bandaging, the PNGean believes this helps a wound heal.

For all those who didn't like yesterday's spider.

Lovely pink against the dark background. I got given a frangipani stick, that I stuck in the ground. It's starting to bud and looks like it might be a pink one.

I love the frangipani. My grandmother had one at her backdoor when I was a child and the perfume was divine. Perfect shot Jason.

Lovely! I've seen plumeria listed in some herbal remedies so there's probably some truth to that!

the flowers are lovely against the green leaf background - when i was in Bali many years ago, i bought some frangipani essential oil which had an unbelievably beautiful odor - did you know that using frangipani essential oil can relieve stress and help to soothe and relax the nerves and muscles of the body.

@ruthhowell - that sounds like a very pleasant way to relax.... *aaaaaahhhhh*

That's super pretty. I'd venture to say that some of those old remedies might have some merits, seeing as they didn't all die out.
