Me and Timothy

Another me and the locals. This was awesome, just outside a flash hotel and I was dealing with work-shit and trying to fuck-off, but as I left and it being independence day, Timothy called out. Now Timothy is a cool dude, normally found in a white long sleeve shirt, black tie, black pants and very welcoming. He's a great welcome to this hotel and a great guy.

But on Independence Day, my friend Timothy got dressed up in his wantok Asaro Valley Mudmen style and he would continue to greet and meet the visitors to this fairly decent hotel.

The security guard had to put down his M-16 in order to take this photo...
Oh and my project is now complete. 365% finished.

Well done! So, next time you want to rob something you have the security guard take the shot!

Noooo! Say it isn't so! Definitely maybe one more…… and one more……and one more

This is a wonderful shot especially because it is of you and your smiling face too! I'm with @cdonohoue about the security guard and @bella_ss About the laplap! (;

@bobfoto Done and smiling. You rarely smile in your photos, right? So, this mudman is a security guard? What happened to your arm? Carpel Tunnel Syndrome from so many freaking photos and a huge lens? Way to 365. Congrats.

Good shot. Hope you aren't finishing

@houdiniem - although I reckon' I can sneak in a few more photos... my project sat at 364% for at least 4 posted shots!

@bella_ss - his bunch of flowers would have done the trick.

@cdonohoue - that sounds like the making of a good plan.

@grammyn - how's that? It only took 1333 to get a shot of me smiling!

@chriswang - Thank you. :)

@boatpainter - Thanks Janet, but that goes to the Security Guard!

@fauxtography365 - Thank you Ms T :D

@kittikat - When I asked the guard to drop his gun and take this shot, I was hoping he would get the focus right so I could post it here!

@judithdeacon - I have such a collection of PNG shots that I could go on forever, but I like how I have some amazing shots in reserve...

@carolmw - @projectx is still ongoing.

@summerfield - It is a self-appointed 6-star hotel, and it does have a great collection of famous people photographs on their walls. I very much doubt the 6-star rating and well, they even let me stay there sometimes!

@amandal - yup, a smile for once. And yup, a brace for the carpel tunnel syndrome which is annoying because I have lost all feeling in my trigger finger and find it hard to half-press. Thanks.

@chris17 - I'll be hiding somewhere.

@leestevo - Thanks Lee-Ann :)

@bobfoto - 6-star eh? well, if they have an M-16 toting security, who's to argue? i had carpal tunnel syndrome back about 1995 and was off work for two years. the doctors had planned on operating but not just on the wrist but also on the thoracic and neck areas. i didn't have the operation, nobody's going to touch my neck, i decided. it would've rendered me useless i was sure. been okay, until lately, so i have to resort to wearing my wrist braces again especially at night. i think it's the heavy camera i lug around everyday. looking into getting the mirrorless type. are you quitting 365 entirely? i hope you won't.

@bobfoto Bummer about your trigger finger. Hope it gets better soon. I get bouts of that especially when I was carrying my kids or wrestling walking my dog a lot. Haven't had it for awhile thankfully. The smile suits you.

@bobfoto It was so worth waiting for you handsome devil, you!

@summerfield - yeah I hear the wrist braces are more effective at night time. The pain has gone in my wrist, but permanent pins and needles are annoying. Will stick around on @projectx until the year's end.

@amandal - Thanks, I do smile a bit. Not when I am concentrating which is normally when trying to do a selfie...

@houdiniem - possibly. Maybe another one when I am in the plane heading home again?

@grammyn - *blushes*

I thought, at first reading this quickly, that you said the ''Security Guard had to him down" as he was frightening the patrons! Ha ha- he is a courageous fellow!

@maggiemae - this version of an Asaro Mudman could hardly be considered scary, what with his teddy-bear ears!

Love this!! It somehow encapsulates so much of the contrasts of PNG and has got you and another amazing character in it too. Love it and what a place to stop... I reckon you could do another few and still clock up 365%. Worth a try :)
