Local Graffiti

I like good graffiti and saw a blip picture by Jerry, who lives locally to me, of this Officer of the law writing on the wall. It's in the Pill area of Newport opposite the Police Station! It makes quite a striking picture so I found it today and took a picture.

It's an area that I worked for quite a few years in the 1970's/80's. The only graffiti I recall from that time was a Police Box on Chepstow Road, Newport (like the Doctor Who one) had a scarf painted all the way around it. A police colleague had his picture taken with it and it featured in the local papers. It was done during the night and no one knew who the artist was, but it was only a couple of years ago that the box was repainted and the scarf (nicely painted!) was covered.
This looks so cool. Hope it won't get painted over!

The Police Box must be one of the rare ones that is still around. Shame it lost it's scarf. Like this blip picture .... most fitting.
