Cava by boxplayer

I was a bit sad this morning as it was my last day off after a lovely long break (bank holiday, extra bank holiday for the Queen's birthday and my non-working day) so Dave opened up the rose cava that has been in the fridge for a while and rustled me up salmon and scrambled eggs for a luxurious breakfast in bed.

The weather was still very dismal so didn't do anything even though had fancied walking over to Vestry House to see their exhibition about the Walthamstow Wetlands.

But managed to be vaguely useful and got my clothes ready for work tomorrow then cooked up some couscous to make a salad for my work lunches. Then did my photo uploading and watched Freaky Friday which I must have recorded yonks ago.

We left about 5.30 in a mad rush to catch the overground to Harringay Green Lanes, only just catching it as we struggled to get through all the people getting off the train and coming towards us.

Was only 2 stops though and we walked down Green Lanes looking for a good Turkish restaurant, settling for Diyarbakir which was big and roomy, and also very busy. We watched them bring out massive meat platters piled high with assorted kebabs but I went for hellim and salmon, and Dave the vegetarian pide. As usual, it all came with lots of free salad and yummy chargrilled bread.

Then walked further down the road to Jam in a Jar for a Scandi/French session - second we've been too. Very difficult again with unusual repertoire and tunes played in keys I can't manage. Elena arrived late and also struggled a bit.

Dave didn't play much guitar either but I did have a go on my big F whistle and started a couple of tunes.
Stayed till 11-ish then got the 230 back to Blackhorse Road and walked home from there.

K is for kebab
