Sunrise in central London

After yesterday's beautiful sunrise in the Quantocks, here's one from my walk into work. Very beautiful too.

Got no views of the big wolfy lunar eclipse thing. Had woken half twoish and the moon had been shining in the bathroom window through the freezing night. But by the time I woke again at 4/5ish, it had clouded over and couldn't find any sign of it.

Lovely walk through the frozen park though. The blackbirds were too shy to come for food so left them to it and walked down to the lake in St James's Park which was not surprisingly frozen.

A beautiful pink sunrise and from the bridge I watched the black and white swan group and the gulls mustering near the pelicans. Lots of coots and a group of geese flew squawking right over my head. Also saw what I thought were pochards but having looked them up found out they were, rather more excitingly, red crested pochards.

Came in to a chaotic morning with a bit announcement all over the place: disjointed comms and general mayhem. Took up all morning so I couldn't clear my emails before the end of the day.

Did have choir and a personal training session. Left at 7 and came home for smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and an episode of Friends.
