Picked this up in the library last time I was there - a very clever novel - set in the nearish future after Brexit has happened. Actually very funny with situations, characters and perils that feel oh-so-familiar: the rise of a populist right wing party with a charismatic leader, the pitfalls of a hasty tweet and its consequences, ther hidden warfare of trolling... All very good.
A lovely warm day but I saw none of it. I nipped to mum's old flat to check it over and water the plant then came back for salmon, noodles and asparagus.
Jamie's Italian went under today. I just can't understand how so many of these restaurant chains do manage to survive.
Sally booked the IOW ferry and we booked ourselves a train to Portsmouth.
