Storm Ciara

We were hit well and truly by this major winter storm today - very windy with quite strong gusts and as the afternoon wore on, extremely heavy rain. My mum had thunder at one point too.

Still extremely anxious, if not more so. Can't seem to relax. We were up very early to drive to the flat to take over the rug and table. Dave put the table together and I wrapped up the dinner service my sister will be taking and did some general tidying up. My sister had put the ad in yesterday and we've started to get the odd bit of interest.

Took a few things back in the car and was a bit of a 'mare getting them downstairs and across the road to the car in the blustery gale and rain. Back home, I made up a big root soup, Dave found his suit for a funeral tomorrow then we relaxed with a halloumi brunch and watched Picard and Good Omens.

Bit of chitchat with sisters about tenants - this is the hard part, people wanting unfurnished, somebody wanting to rip up the carpet, pets and what-have-you.
