Junction of the Lee Navigation and Hertford Union Canal

On my cycle this morning. Lovely sunny spells today. Was up early to cycle with Dave and F to Brooks Farm in Leyton where they were working today.

Startlingly just before setting off I found a dead wasp in my sandal - I had put it on and wondered what was in it and thought, shall I bother to take my sandal off and get it out - or just leave it. I decided to get it out - and thank goodness I did - I've been stung by a dead wasp before now.

The gears on my bicycle are still not changing well - need to take it back. Phoned Mamachari though and put myself on a waiting list for a new bike.

Left Dave and F at the farm and cycled through Leyton to the Olympic Park - all very quiet - a lot of building work going on with roads closed. Cycled across to the Lee Navigation to make may way back towards Walthamstow. Stopped at the Mother Works at Here East for a vegan sausage roll and tea.

Sat outside in the sun by the canal, earwigging at the two friends, one with baby - chatting at the next table. Managed to spill my hot tea all over me which was unfortunate.

Cycled back. A bit of toast for lunch then a lot of reading - the weather gradually getting cooler and cloudier as I sat outside. Went out and got some nibbles for Dave to take to F's leaving do.

Seafood tagliatelle for supper and Friday Night Dinner - seems to be working again after failing to watch it the other night.
