Busy market day by boxplayer

Busy market day

With the nice weather, everyone had flocked to the Lloyd Park market.

A rather disturbed night. Still fretting I think a) about the flat and b) about our lovely neighbours moving. Ordered the children a cuddly fox and a cuddly Snowy (TinTin's dog) - in addition to the swift book and the fox photos with album.

We'd struggled last night, my sister and I, with releasing the tenant's deposit - and later when she tried to accept the release - the site got glitchy again - why aren't things simple? Again, got sorted eventually.

A lovely day but I'd booked for a Zoom Leveret music workshop weekend. I'd fully expected to have to cancel it because of flat viewings but as nobody seems to be interested in it - it was all systems go.

A pleasant day of listening to the band explain their musical thinking and approaches with time and space allowed for us to practise away in our own time - using very handy audio files they'd prepared.

Had an hour for lunch and I whipped off on the bicycle to the market. Very very busy - and on the streets generally - and I had to queue - but only for 5 mins. Picked up some doughnuts and an aubergine, pepper and parmesan samosa like thing.

Cycled back and then promptly fell off my bicycle just as I was dismounting - sort of got my foot stuck somehow and keeled right over. Scratched knuckles was the only damage other than my pride - which wasn't helped by Dave sounding like he was trying to explain to me how to get off a bike when I got in ... All got a bit fractious and tearful as things seem to these days. All smoothed over quickly enough and I had an afternoon of more music.

More fence fizz - our last - with the neighbours this evening along with sweet potatoes and veggie burgers for supper.

What a stressful few days you’ve had. Hopefully your lovely day out took your mind off it for a while.

Oh I sympathise over the neighbours moving - it’s so nice to have good ones. I think you shouldn’t lose sleep over the flat as lots of people will move back in the summer when things improve. Loads of people living with parents must be desperate to get back out on their own and even more so back to partners etc. And they’ll have saved money so more people will have a bit more to spend.
