So the bad news is - we have COVID in the house. F popped his head round the door to say that C has tested positive. He's ok so far but has moved to the spare room. C is staying in their room to isolate it out. So now it's just a case of waiting to see if Dave or I succumb. We haven't been hanging out with C and F much, but it's not a big house and we do share kitchen and bathroom. I've had to eat all the rest of the Baci chocolates to calm me when really I should be dosing up with vitamin c, garlic and green vegetables.
Halloumi peppers and home made chips for supper while we watched Following an early film from Christopher Nolan shot in his student days in the late 90s. Good, full of the ideas he went on to develop in his more famous films. Felt a bit bleaurgh in bed - must have been eating all those chocolates.
3 good things
1. Local Turkish restaurant was much more accommodating and pleasant about hosting a big group even though they're tiny 'oh we had 100 last week' and much more relaxed about the deposit. All we need now is not to catch COVID...
2. Boss messaged to say thanks for the flowers, they really cheered her up.
3. Limpy has been curling up out of the cold in the little kennel.
What a beautiful flower! Hang in there, Covid is bizarre and appears to be a bit of a luck of the draw. We went through a similar situation in December/January. I caught it right before Christmas and have no idea where it came as we were always masked and followed all precautions but luckily it was fairly mild. More of a pain worrying whether or not you have it.
Glad restaurant is being reasonable, there isn't much you can do!
Oh heck after all your care…never mind don’t be too worried as covid is weird as some catch it & some don’t for no unearthly reason!
Chocolate will keep it at bay I bet, all those antioxidants!
Sometimes it’s a relief to get it over & done with…less worry!
Keep deep breathing the hyacinths!

Fingers crossed for you and Dave
Fingers crossed for you both
