Champagne tea by boxplayer

Champagne tea

The perfect antidote to today's torrential rain - a champagne tea (£11 per person, bargain) at the William Morris Gallery.

Yesterday evening I'd decided I wouldn't be going to today's free Dance Fit class in the park as the weather forecast looked appalling - seriously pissy in fact.

But this morning on waking up and checking the forecast, the rain had moved back to 11 so I leapt out of bed and got myself breakfasted and ready, hopped on the bike and cycled down to the park.

Quite a few people had turned up all hoping the rain would hold off. And it did, which was brill as I really like this class - 10 mins of traditional aerobics, then the focus of the class is based on ballet moves that really work your legs and bum.

Cycled back home just before Dave headed out to the doctor - just as the rain was starting. I had a second breakfast of porridge and fruit with M. I curled up on the bed catching up with my 365 upload.

Later, we headed out into the rain to walk to the William Morris Gallery - it was fairly chucking it down and, despite my big umbrella, my legs got rather damp. Met Naomi in the tea toom and had a lovely champagne tea watching the rain from the windows overlooking the park and having a general catch-up.

After, Naomi caught her bus back, Dave waded off towards the library and I headed home to practise a bit of melodeon and curl up on the bed again. Rain seems to be easing off now

We've got your rain now - Hurricane Henri apparently. And yesterday we got a lashing on the M11 but also a rather splendid rainbow. Impressed with your fitness diligence - just the potential for a bit of rain would be enough for me to bale out.
