Horrendously busy day at work, trying to get stuff done for a Wednesday deadline. Ended up leaving later than I needed to so was a touch late for the meet-up with Zoe in the recently refurbished Goose. Bit of a dive-ish pub, but looks nice with a lick of paint and the staff are really attentive and friendly. Ridiculous food prices (cheap that is) - £6.45 for my veggie burger and chips plus a glass of red wine. The portions aren't enormous, but then most pub food portions are too big. But some of our dishes did look a bit like a less posh version of nouvelle cuisine, pub chips and grungy peas artfully arranged in little piles on the plate.
Here Hilary and Dave, plus Zoe and Peter's hands, dig into the rather tasty cherry bakewell sponge pudding. I had some too of course.
Thanks for all the faves and comments on frosty morning - will catch up when I have a mo'.
