Finally finished this. Really not that good - kind of steampunk fantasy - very clever and full of invention, but far too much cleverness and invention. It was quite long and virtually every sentence introduced a new concept or clever thing or new character so that you just couldn't keep track of what was what. I never give up on books and I did enjoy some of the wordplay and invention but it was just too too much.
