"Eckley Miners' Village"

Paid a visit to northeastern Pennsylvania to visit some family and took some time to pay a visit to one of my favorite historical sites, the Eckley Miners' Village. Established as a mining village at the height of the anthracite coal era in 1854, it was home to the storied Molly Maguires and a wide array of immigrants - Welsh, German, English and Irish - and their families; a self-sustaining mining community which flourished for many years. The area is beautifully preserved and one which I enjoy visiting and even though the day was overcast that aspect sort of added to the overall moodiness of this somber area. (16 January 2016)

I like how you have the line of the fence and it draws you to the house.

like the greens ... on the posts the roof shingles. And the lines take your eyes right up to the house.
