“Going to the Creek Mom!”

Super busy days make me thankful that I keep a few photos in reserve in my photo bank ergo, today’s photo – from a few days ago – of another view of the forest floor. While visiting home last week I had the opportunity of a precious few hours to just roam about and while doing so I visited one of my favorite places to spend time in my youth. It was a big area and when you yelled to mom and dad that you were ‘going to the creek’ they knew exactly where I would be even if it was anywhere from one end of the creek to the other or any of the forest in between. These are still some of my fondest memories and something I took time to walk while at home. [29 November 2017]

Lovely memories, how things change. I know we wandered quite far to play sometimes & we were always relatively safe. I wouldn’t let my grandchildren do the same today.

@carole_sandford - Yes, I agree - as much as we like to think our world hasn't changed the facts speak differently.
