I love this flower, the composition, the focus - but I think it is a bit underexposed? The white is a bit grey, or maybe it is the white balance. It might be fun to experiment with the exposure, white balance and RGB filters. But that's only what I think! Because it's a cracking shot!
@lleo hmm - possibly. I could have ramped up the exposure a bit. I'm not very experienced with RGB filters... but also I used my iPhoto 'boost' which I think lowered the overall exposure - if that makes sense - but good suggestions - it may also be how it appears on your screen as it looks different on my work and home computers!! :)
@brigette just been into iPhoto and there is no BW converter. I can do that and use some filters in Aperture. There may be a free BW converter that you could down load. You may even have them in your camera. I learnt quite a lot during the BW February book club from Katie. Any way keep going and have fun!
@lleo my Mac-book with iPhoto has some photo edit tools! so that's what I use plus (but not on this occasion - Perfect Effects that someone on 365 sent a link for a free-bee! which was great!
I do have the RGB filters in my camera -but need to learn a bit about them - I need to spend some time on self directed study!! and you are right about Katie!! great source of knowledge!!!! thanks for your help :)
