Snow!! Do you have any old wives tales, or odd stories tales. Another one my Aunt told me was when an Owl hoots at your window it means death... Kind of morbid but everytime I hear and Owl it freaks me out a bit. Lets hear yours!!
Interesting thought . . . I remember way back in the early 1950s when I was serving in the RAF at a time when "Reds under the bed" and other war scares were current and anything slightly unusual had to be reported. I was on midnight guard duty when I noticed that the moon was bright blue and mentioned it to the guard commander, who ordered me to enter it in the incident book. Next day the newspapers were full of similar reports and an official explanation that it was an effect caused by smoke from a forest fire in Canada which had drifted across the Atlantic.
