So off for another photo walk after work but this time there's a twist -- I worked a day shift so this image is filled glorious, forgiving, unfiltered daylight! Apologies to my noctography fans, but I'll be doing it again tomorrow, too :D
This telescope is attached to the plane-arium at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. Another surprise, Karryn & Oscar met up with me here when I knocked off and we went for a stroll around the gardens. And when I say "we", you all know damn well I mean "my camera and I" and by "stroll" I mean "the family tagged along" .
It was a tonne of funne and the first time we [me & camera, Karryn & Oscar] have taken advantage of my recent change to Sat/Sun day shifts in this manner. We [me & camera, maybe Karryn & Oscar] will definitely do this again tomorrow and then perhaps again in another fortnight's time when I'm back on days.
@swilde It's a public space in the Nanny State so 'No Entry' is obligatory to stop people risking themselves thereby threatening the public liability premium the venue has to fork out for. Pre-emptive bandaiding 8-|
Very cool change for you. So did you pass the No Entry sign? Oh and by the way how to do you post to G+ I dont know if i asked you that. Sorry if I did.
@shortperson2002 Hi Caren :) There's a couple of ways to post to G+. I think the easiest is to start a new post, then click on the green camera icon to add an image. Follow the prompts to point the browser at the location you've saved the image and it'll add easily enough -- same way you do for 365. The other way I use is to create a web album at Google Photos (formerly Picasa Web) then share the album from there. It's an easy way of adding 10+ pics. Uploading to that album, however, may be up to your photo programme -- iPhoto has an export to Google Albums, as does digiKam but I'm not sure about Adobe's stuff.
I didn't go past the sign, no. There was a gate (about knee height) and a surveillance camera -- the latter is what kept me out ;)
Thanks for the link, I've added my voice to that review now, too :) How's the A580? Any news?
Awesome, Ill have to try that. Thanks so much, G+ is hard for me for some reason lol. My camera, No im waiting til my project is over to send it in to be repaired (or maybe after Christmas). There is still a mild bit of grain but the picture I took of the dance the other day seemed to turn out with very little grain, which made my day!
@heidi I've got a funny story about missile silos I can't share in pubic. Maybe one day we'll get to sniff each other's butts and share a bowl of dog chow and I'll fill you in, so to speak :)
