It's not often that my son does his own breakfast but now that he's 13, I need to teach him how to be a little more independent. I thought that this was the first time that he'd fried an egg by himself but he pulls this face and says that he's done it before. But it's definitely the first time that he didn't ask me to do it for him. He only asked me to supervise which is progress in my books. He was so chuffed that he turned the egg over and that it was still in one piece instead of a hot mess.
