we took our granddaughter to her riding lesson. she just showed some interest in horses and we were surprised to see how well she was already doing. the riding lesson took place inside a riding barn i took a few photos but because i had to photograph through a window the pictures didn't turn out too well ( i only have a small digital camera) after the lesson the horses were brought out i guess for a cooing down period. while waiting inside were it was nice and warm i read browsed through some magazines and came across this quote:
-- If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both legs
in the air, the person died in battle.
-- If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died
because of wounds received in battle.
-- If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person
died of natural causes.

Also did you know that horses produce approximately 10 gallon of saliva a day and horses can not breathe through their mouth.
