Mr. Cardinal by bruni

Mr. Cardinal

Looks like i'm into collages. but really that way one can see more than just one take of the subject. This cardinal start singing at about 5.30 am in the morning. it was still quite dark outside. normally he comes to the feeder picks one seed and flies off again. it's not easy to catch him long enough to get some pictures. so over a few mornings i tried to get as many as i can. if i'm lucky i get two and not all of them turned out good enough.
Great collection for your collage! Do you have to go outdoors and sit and wait for him? Wondered if the bird feeder was close to your house so you might be able to take it through the (clean!) window :-)

I love cardinals!!! Well, they are abundand here and they are Missouri's state bird! :-) Wonderful captures, Bruni!!! Today I was peeling an orange outside, and this buzzing creature came an inch away from my hand - it was a humming bird!! I was so excited! I put the humming brid feeder outside a little while ago. ;-)) I wake up to birds singing, too - it's the most wonderful sound in the morning! :-)

Hi...no....Maasai don't worship cattle but they are a sign of wealth (indeed they are the wealth) and looked after by the young boys usually until they reach the age of becoming Moran/warriors. To lose your cattle means no education (beyond primary - which is free and compulsory), no medicine, no money for marriages..... starvation really.

Bruni, I agree - you have to be careful with lizards! :-) Yes, the cardinal is our official bird, and Saint Louis' baseball team is called the Cardinals. They have those re and white shirts, pretty cool ;-) For the humming birds - I know that they like the color red, that's what attracts them. You can try putting a red humming bird feeder with re food inside - I am sure they'll come! I put my feeder up last night, and this morning there was a humming bird eating ;-)))

Hi Bruni! Of course I saw your video on "my special day"! That's why I noticed you were putting up more videos! I get so busy taking pictures, I forget to use the video feature, but I do enjoy it!

Love the pictures of your beautiful cardinal! Wish we had them up here, but never saw one. Hope to get some pictures of the blue jays when they're throughout the back back yard!

Hi....have just read all your comments on the Shutterfly site... thank you for them.... and I did enjoy the report of the Toronto restaurant. If ever I get a chance to go there I'll have it on my list of "must do" places.
