BYGONE X-MAS by bruni

BYGONE X-MAS

There was no time yesterday to take a photo. we were out most of the day and when we got home I was too tired to even think so once again I picked one out ..an oldie ..of Christmas 2004. I just thought it looks so pretty when the candles are almost burned down.
:) like the framing

Pretty, can't imagine having candles on my tree. Very traditional, scary to think of the fire risk though.

@robinwarner thanks so much for the comment you left for me
@Robert Velten @Kerri Stephens. we always have real candles..and a fire extinguisher is right handy ..never in all the years have we ever had to use it. they say a tree which gets lots of water in the stand is a lot safer than an artificial one.thank you for your comment. appreciated

Nice piccy :)

How neat that you use real candles. I would be too nervous, even with a fire extinguisher right there.

Happy vintage Christmas.

Hi Bruni. We have real candles aswell and have had for several years. Don't go out of the room when they are alight and some of the baubles have dripped wax on them now, but hey that makes them even prettier I think.

@Loveday Giles Forgot to mention it we always have one person in the room..never leave it unattended. the dandles give it a nice and warm feeling. drippels are ok as long as you don't get them on the carpet. do you know how to get rid of candle wax? use a hot iron put some absorband papertowls on top of the wax and iron it away!

So beautiful! I should dig out an older picture of my hubby and son chopping down our tree. One of my favorite photos from when my son was younger.

I am so behind with the comments and the photos that I wanted to post, but it is OK, I am trying my best.
I like the border and effect!

Being that I am of German descent I often heard stories about this, but to this day have never seen a tree with candles burning on it. Pretty photo!
