The Moehne Reservior is an artificial lake in North-Rhein-Westphalia, some 45 km east of Dortmund, Germany.
It is formed by the damming of two rivers, Moehner and Heve, and its four basins stores as much as 135 Millionen cubic meters of water.
The dam was built between 1908 and 1913 to help control floods, regulate water levels on the river Ruhr downstream, and generate hydropower.
Today, the lake is also a tourist attraction. We saw a group of people enjoying a boat tour on the lake. (see my other picture)

@bruni You are welcome, Bruni. It is really nice that you are taking time for yourselves. I agree, it would be hard to just sit with family when you want to get out and site see things they have seen or not. Wow, only one more week. That went by so fast. I hope you have a wonderful last week.
