Hans has a new project. instead of a tub we had a jacuzzi in one of our bathrooms. when Hans built an apartment downstairs, this bathroom became part of it. after 20 years of use major repairs were require to keep the jacuzzi working.
we decided against the repair and rented the apartment out with just a shower stall – no bathtub -. now after 6 years Tom is moving out. Hans and I decided now is the time to take the old unused jacuzzi out and replace it with a new bathtub. you can image how much work was involved. the jacuzzi was at least twice the size of the bathtub and Hans had to take a chainsaw to it to get it out piece by piece, then he had to build a platform around the cut out. now we had a problem. how do we find floor tiles matching the ceramic ones. we decided to bring in another color for the platform which we’ll match up with a new countertop.
I must say Hans did a terrific job so far.
Wow! That's a major project, Bruni! Hans sounds like a handy man to have around! I like the way the new tub looks. I can't wait to see the entire finished project. Great shots and collage! Well done to you on getting the shots and well done to Hans on doing such a great job!
