I watched them

I was just going to water my lovely impatient planter when I witnessed this insect (whatever it is) sting the fly. it didn't take too long for the fly to stop wiggling around . sorry, but that's life. the picture was taken with my P&S. not as clear as I would've liked it.

That's a spider! I see 8 legs! It is pretty small to be taking on that fly! This is my kind of pic!

Great shot, Bruni! That is a spider going after its prey. You can see the webbing all over the flowers. The fly must have triggered a little jostle and the spider felt it and sped over and stunned the fly so it could wrap it up and save it for later. Great catch!
