When my daughter got her car out of her garage she notices this grasshopper on top of her car roof. she thought it would fly away. I guess he thought differently and came along for the ride. we met halfway in between her house and ours and drove together from there. I noticed the grasshopper and she was surprised it was still clinging to the roof. I took a shot before he hopped off and followed him to take some more pictures.
Boy, is his wife going to be mad. I can just hear her now: "Sure, sure, you long-legged liar. You expect me to believe that?!? What some insects won't dream up as an excuse for being late."
Pretty funny! One time we took our neighbor's cat to the mall and back. Fortunately it was in the evening and not hot, because we did not discover him until we were leaving the mall. I read an article once about a cat that took a soaring ride on a goose. If animals could talk!
Great shots, Bruni! It's so green!! I have never seen grasshoppers that green here. It's such a lovely shade of green, too. Great triptych. What program do you use to do your collages? Fav
What a hitch hiker. Reminds me of arriving at school one morning and pulling alongside a colleague. As we got out of her vehicles I thought I could her a cat miaow. We looked and found one of her kittens underneath the wheel arch of her SUV. How he clung on we'll never know!

I've been surprised a few times by what decides to cling to the car as I drive away. We had a spider stuck to the windshield one time that made it half way to Vermont! I think this might be a Katydid but I don't have my "bug book handy". Nice collage to go with your story.
