A BEAUTY, BUT OH SO DEADLY

We've enjoyed the beauty of this autumn flower for years not realizing how deadly it is. today, I googled this plant called Monkshood or Wolf's bane and this is what I read:

It is highly poisonous, but lots of lovely plants are. I took laburnum out of my garden after my youngest daughter ate some of the seeds and had to have her stomach pumped!

I know those ( Monnikskap - Aconitum) flower / plant Take care , all of it is very poison, even tough it can be dangerous

@prttblues You know we dug it up along a river bed to close to it. this was at least 25 years ago. it has never harmed us. good thing is, we have no kids living close by. don't really want to get rid of it though. the last beautiful colour in the garden. thank you for your lovely comment.

@bruni I wouldn't get rid of it either. It's very lovely. I wonder if it's harmful to animals.

The color of this plant is amazingly beautiful. Too bad it is deadly. Wonder if any of ours are. You have me thinking now. FAV
