Dia de Muertos - Day of the Dead

Another vacation picture from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Although the Day of the Dead celebration took place October 31 to November 2 last year, we still saw a lot of stores displaying paraphernalia for the Day of the Dead. When I came across this house and saw the two skeleton ladies on the balcony, I had to take a picture.

I remember my Mother did always celebrate (?) Alle Seelen und alle Heiligen .
Great shot of this nice balcony and windows And the nice architecture of that lovely house.

Very cleverly done, it looks like! Even an umbrella! They don't celebrate this in Canada do they? Sounds like Mexico!

Great find. I was also surprised that Dia de Muertos is celebrated in Canada.

@mbemis Well it isn't, not as far as I know. I didn't think I had to say everytime I post a picture lately that it's still from my days in Puerto Vallarta. I think I better do that from now on.

Wonderful picture, Bruni. All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day are celebrated in the NL as well, but not everybody does.

@gijsje I haven't heard of it either in Germany nor here in Canada. this picture is a vacation picture from our January/February trip to Mexico.

Cool find - over here All Saints' Day seems to have been replaced by Halloween, even though they're not the same thing at all! And when I was in Paris, I visited one of the graveyards on this day and lots of people were there lighting candles for their families - Lucy

Good shot- not something I think I'd want to display all year, but then I don't keep my Christmas lights up all year either!!
