Neighbors side garden

Holiday Monday is always a day when Grace and I get together to spend an afternoon somewhere in Toronto. the weather is promising and I've a feeling she will take me to the Beaches. The Beaches is an area in Toronto called the Beaches and there're public parks along the Lake Ontario's shore. we love walking the Boardwalk and also spending some time in town where they have unique shops, boutiques and coffee shops to relax.

The collage has two pictures, both a view from my kitchen window. you see my white lilac is doing well. the picture on the right I took last year through the window as well on the 15th of May.
I find it much more colorful than this year. I think the harsh winter had something to do with that.
Lovely colours. Hope you have a wonderful day at the Beaches. That's where I would rather be than at work on a Monday.

both nice shots, Bruni, and i agree that things seem behind this year and i do think it is due to the harsh winter we had. it seemed to be so different depending on where you lived, however. my sister, who lives in southern New England, got so much more snow than we did. How strange that is where we are in the mountains. when they get snow like that it is devastating since they are not prepared for it like we are.

This is stunning, it is amazing that they survive the very cold winters.

@leananiemand Yes I agree with you, Leana, especially this long harsh winter we just had. surprisingly a bush and four climbing roses we were sure didn't survive, but then a little later as usual in the Spring, they came to live. thank you for your comments.
