We know where there is a bird nest high up on a pole. I've posted pictures of it years ago and thought another picture might be nice again.
after taking a few pictures, we were driving on again and Hans saw in the rear view mirror a second bird flying towards the nest. we looked for a driveway to turn into to back up the car and go back to were we kind off stopped on the right close to a ditch to let cars coming from behind us pass. that was when I saw one of them taking off. I just had enough time for one picture and was hoping I got the bird. when we came home from todays outing, I was happy to see that the last picture turned out not too bad for just having my P/S camera with me.
we spent an afternoon in Orillia and in the next days you'll see pictures from a street festival and also from Christmas in June at the a marina on Lake Simcoe in Orillia.
Things happen so quickly with birds, its difficult to choose the right settings,, aim and hold steady! This is great to see but I wonder about the pole - are they going to get electrocuted?
Isn't it awesome to catch birds doing what they do naturally, but are still so special for us? Funny they have a nest on top of a pole!! You'd think the babies would fall out or it might get blown away from the wind!! Obviously not, since there they are!! Nice capture!!
Great shot.
