Why not? It's very fun. We have no ice here, so on one of New Mexico's rivers, the houses that back up to it decorate their houses, and big paddle boats take passengers along the river to see the lights. Boats and Christmas go well together!

I tried to find out when this festivity started, as I remember now we saw the first Christmas in June in 2008 when my son and family had their boat there in the marina.
