A quick stroll through Fairy Lake this morning before Hans had to pick up some vinyl siding at a supplier in Newmarket.
as you know, the geese are such a nuisance in our area. a young lady with a twin baby stroller was trying to pass a bunch of them on the sidewalk in the park and stopped in front of us. she told us she was afraid because at another time, the geese came up to the kids and grabbed some of their snacks. now she says they're scared. I suggested she should stay back while Hans scoot the geese and their goselings away. he almost got nabbed by the one in picture 3.
This is a wonderful collage, Bruni. You have a lot of Canadian Geese still. Ours have for the most gone but will be back. This makes me miss our park and ducks. I know they can be mean but I find that they want food and once fed are ok if only a few of them. If there are a lot we avoid them too.
@darsphotos Darlene, they're everywhere. on the roads, in parking places, around malls, crossing the streets in front of cars, you name it.
at open hunting season they fly to Toronto. lots of them overwinter Toronto where they find open water at Lake Ontario. I think, I would appreciate them if there were less.
They are a nuisance around here too, but I'm seeing less of them which is good! Great collage- and how gallant of Hans to shoo them away for the lady with her stroller.
