the water ferries as well as small private boats, canoes, gondolas, etc. are just racing along. I even saw a police boat. it was quite the experience being on the Grand Canal.
@gijsje No Beth. it was too hot and too sunny, I had no umbrella for shade and Grace and I are very fair skinned and tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. we took a water taxi up and down the Grand Canal.
