Yes, now I've seen it with my own eyes and my neighbor confirmed she saw thim walk up the same way. I just googled how to keep these cute but darn critters away from the feeder. it said to mix hot pepper in with the seeds. apparently birds love it and squirrels will stay away from it. I must really try it.
i will be very interested to see if that pepper works but nothing, absolutely nothing i have done has kept them away. i stopped putting food in my feeders because of those raccoons and now have a little squirrel that comes right onto my porch railing and looks into my window. waiting for him to knock and ask for supper next.
@catsmeowb We don't feed the birds in the summer month for the simple reason we get droves and droves of blackbirds eating all the seed in 3 of our feeders and only leaving messy stuff on the bottom and then the squirrels take care of it. the little birds can't win. once the blackbirds fly south and that she be soon, we start feeding again and will let you know if the pepper works.
