While going over to the reception area one morning, Hans saw the gardeners cutting off the almost dead roses. One stem had a rose on it that hadn't opend yet.. Hans asked if they cut this one off too and if so, if he could have it. well what am I going to do with this half dead rose, I asked my hubby said put it in a glass of water and talk to it. Wouldn't you know, it not only opened up, but also started sprouting. Every day we saw more and more new growth and that without any roots, just the cut off stem in a water glass.
So glad that Hans brought this rose for you to enjoy. It had a lot of life in it and shows in this photo. I hope you enjoy it for your time here and give it to someone to take care of before you leave. FAV
Lovely. Have you every tried to replant? If it will last until Spring, plant about half of the stem in the ground, and cover the top have with a glass quart jar.
