De-humidifier given us trouble

Our de-humidifier is on the blink and needs to be fixed. it's already a few years old and the warranty has expired, so Hans is trying to see if he can find out where the problem lies. I grabbed a picture while the machine is taken apart. both sides cover have come off and what you see, is the inside mechanism. it looks like the hose broke off. hopefully a little crazy glue will fix it. we shall see!

this is a filler.
Interesting for me here in Australia. Do you use it in Summer or Winter.

I've never seen or heard of a dehumidifier in my life! Humidifiers, yes . . .

In holland we do n`t need those. Our weathers are wet enough and the houses often to damp.

@pyrrhula Ferry. A Di-humidifier is the opposite from a Humidifier. because we had a lot of rain and the apartment in our home is partly basement and therefore underground and partly above ground.....it gets very moist (damp) down there and we need to extract the dampness from the air. a Humidifier is used when the air is too dry upstairs in our living areas which is usually in the winter when the furnace is on to warm up the place. thanks for your comment.
