Caught in a web

I found this dragonfly caught in a web on a climbing hydrangea plant. sorry for its demise,
I took lots pictures and when Hans came down by the walkway, I showed it to him. Hans tried to lift it gently out of the web, put it on a stone and I took a few picture of it with the right side up this time. see the insert.
What a great capture even though its dead and stuck in this web. Ahh, nature is like this. Gives you the chance to get a photo like this. FAV

Had it actually died? Poor dragonfly! With its name it should have been able to fight its way out of the web but maybe it was and old dragon!

Being eated is part of nature. Often humans help don`t help. Great shot and a beautiful processed insert. Compliments to Hans. Fav.

@Dawn, I was surprised to see a dragonfly caught in a web, usually you see small insects. I really had to look twice before I realized it was already dead, thank you for your comment and your fav.

@maggiemae Maggi, Thank you for your comment. I was surprised to see a dragonfly got caught in a web and not wriggling around trying to get out. usually we see small insects, flies or even a small bee, but never anything as big as a dragonfly.
