Breakdown or maybe ice too thin

It was cold but sunny outside yesterday so we decided to take a drive along Lake Simcoe.
we saw some ice fishing huts here and there, nothing worth to take pictures of. Lake Drive is a very narrow and winding road and all of the sudden, we saw a lot of commotion on both sides or the road. Hans pulled over and we had a good spot seeing through the trees what was going on.
Now we're not sure if this truck broke down or if it went with the front end through the ice. I must admit, Hans was driving and had the best view through the car window, so he took all the pictures and I had the pleasure of choosing which ones would tell the story best.

One good thing, it looks like no one was hurt
and it wasn't too bad sitting in the car with the window open all this time. mind you, I had the car heater blasting on high.
Nice collage telling the story.

Hmmm. Wonder if he was night fishing and froze into the ice. Always an adventure to see what's going on on the ice.

A great collage of all beautiful winter scenes and captures. Fav. (Lots of people in Holland would love to have this ice to skate on it.)

@kathiecb Thank your for your comment, I don't think they were night fishing as they were too close to shore. we took the pictures yesterday in the afternoon and I posted the collage this morning into yesterday's vacant spot.
