Just stunning! You might be interested in this, I don't know, but New Mexico, the state where we live, was once part of Mexico, but it was so far away (by foot in those days), that all its churches' art was locally made of wood and tin. Old Mexico got all of the gold!

@janeandcharlie Thank you Jane. I knew that New Mexico used to be part of Mexico. the meaning of a church to me isn't that it's richly appointed, but rather the comfort one receives.
