Grace and I took the easy way to get to the bridge this time to take a picture. I was in the process of writing about the curved boardwalk while in upload mode and although I never clicked on upload, the picture uploaded and I saw already 3 comments. Odd. I never posed it.
Henri, Bep and another lady, her name escaped me at the moment, left a comment. So sorry Ladies, hope you see it here again and repeat your comment for me.
Now to the story. First of all Grace drove to the second concession road and parked her car there and we walked down to the bottom to the boardwalk. Much faster than walking about 1 kilometer on the first foot path along the river and then another kilometer on the boardwalk.
A bit about this walking trail. The trail is called the Nokiitaa Trail and is 19.5 kilometer long. It starts in a neighbouring town of Aurora. from there it goes to Newmarket and then to Holland Landing in East Gwillimbury. Grace lives in Newmarket close to Green Lane, where we start our walk of one km foot path underneath trees and along the Holland River, where the trail used to end.
Now since we have a new bridge which was built to widen the 2 lane to a 4 lane road at the Second Concession Road, 1 km north of Green Lane. the new boardwalk (my first picture ) continues to the Rogers Reservoir and from there, underneath the bridge, we can continue the trail up to Holland Landing. I hope we still get a warmer day sometimes this month so Grace and I can continue our walk to Holland Landing.
@henri Henri I'm just so curious. It happened again. your and Bep's comment showed up at the moment I finish typing and clicked on post. I wonder if at the time you saw my picture it already had 4 written paragraphs?
Thank you so much for your fav. I greatly appreciate it.
