We welcome September with an outing. this time Hans is going with us. he does need a day away from home. if not, he'll be out there sanding the deck boards again and staining what he prepared yesterday. it's such a big job and time consuming as the manufacturer's recommendation is not to apply oil stain when the sun shines and the deck gets morning and afternoon sun. so real early hours, but then he can't use the electric sander. Monday is Labour Day Holiday and he can't make noise early in the morning. oh well, it will eventually all get done.

This is really pretty with the colors and swirls. We can sympathize with the staining project. Between a very busy schedule and weather issues it has taken Jeff most of August to get the house stained and we still have the two decks to do!
