Our Christmas tree by bruni

Our Christmas tree

After all these years Hans and I had decided not to have a tree this year...no wax candles to light and enjoy. no, instead make an Advent Wreath with four candles. the idea didn't go over too well.

The day we went into Aurora to go to the Vision Center, we were almost half way to our favorite tree farm. Once there we couldn't resist and instead of greens for a wreath, we bought a small (5 foot tree). the smallest one we ever had). now to decorating.

Once I started decorating I found it had so many open spaces where I couldn't hang any baubles or other decorations. I tried my best.
The candles still have to be adjusted and with a bit of tinsels, I thing it will look ok after all..
Boo

Well it is a real picture! Hope the lighted candles don't overbalance!

Traditions are meant to be maintained. And better half way turned than completely wandered (Dutch proverbs.) The tree look very nice.

Some of those spaces will fill in as the tree "opens up" from the water in the basin. I'm glad you got a small one. I love your "real" candles tradition! It looks very pretty!
