So peaceful in the morning..not knowing what awaits you

We had a glorious day yesterday. the thermometer read 76 degree in the shade. the sun was shining and lots of people walked down our street with their kids and caboodle towards the lake.
How fast weather can change. in the afternoon a warning came over the internet of a severe storm heading our way. Hans and I were sitting on the deck. he had gone for a long walk in the morning and I wanted to go in the afternoon as I was busy during the early hours. the sun disappeared so I put on a light jacked and headed out to the lake. (4 houses down our street). I covered the length of two and had to turn around. the wind coming over the lake almost blew me away. by five thirty the rain came down in buckets. thunder and lightning and what have you. Hans likes thunderstorms and so I found him back on the deck until the wind blew the rain towards us and we had to go back inside.

Oh my goodness. Your story sounds like us. Exact same story we had on Friday. Only thing is, my husband and I both love thunder storms and can be found out in the garage with the door up during them, watching the storm. Noce shot of the Geese.
