After our visitors left we took Betty for a walk to Paxton Pits. It's a beautiful spot to see the sun going down. This family of swans were actually 6 cygnets although only 5 here. I think that's a pretty good number to have raised. The adult swans were very protective and were hissing furiously when we went too near.
Haven't been to Paxton Pits for ages - site of the best ever school trip! Gorgeous scene here - swans can be a bit of a pain when you're trying to find a drinking spot for a dog - one of the local cygnets actually came out of the water to have a go at Monty last week.
