We chose not to travel on the steam train for the iconic journey from Fort William to Mallaig, but instead took the service train and walked to the viewpoint above the famous viaduct. It was very exciting when we first spotted the steam from the train as it came through the valley.
@sparkle You must do it - but pick a fine day! @asutherland1964 I don't remember the 3 wheeled cars but my husband says he does. Thanks for all your comments and fav's - I'm overwhelmed!
Fantastic shot! Aren't the colours intense at this time of year! Well worth the walk to the top. We passed this way in the summer but didn't have much time so just took a look from lower level!
