We went for a walk round Paxton Pits nature reserve this afternoon. This blackbird was very patient and waited while I took shots from all angles. Perhaps he thought I was bringing some food. No such luck!
Beautiful clarity of this blackbird... he does look rather tame...love that orange beak & of course the song. You were lucky he sat so still you must not have looked a threat!!

@rosiekind Ah well, the background was along way off here so the dof is good, but where the background is close it won't go out of focus. I guess this camera is built to give a very wide dof.
We visited last Sunday! lovely place for a walk, even when it's busy you don't seem to meet many people!! We ended up getting 'a bit' lost, I think the route we were supposed to be taking was flooded, we then had to decide whether to go back or carry.....we carried on....wrong decision!! Never mind it was a loooooong walk. Great clear shot and detailed shot Judith, love it! fav
Thanks for all your fabulous comments and fav's. @rhos Actually no processing needed. @mikegifford I looked to increase the shadows/highlights and found it didn't improve the picture at all, didn't even need to crop. Only a small vignette edging added.
